From conception to completion, dozens of staff and contributors are involved: the editor-in-chief works with contributing editors to conceive and assign content; writers, illustrators, and photographers execute and deliver content; a copy editor checks for mistakes while a designer puts it all together; and the publisher works with the printer, distributors, and retailers to get the finished publication into the hands of the reader.
